Tour My Home - Adelaide Terrace!

I should have done this ages ago..

Anyway, welcome in! First thing you'd see is something like this..

Kitchen on the Right

Wash Basin

Dining Area

Living Room - Joe's territory. He lives there.

Joe's territory.

Still his territory. The amazing thing is.. we never had problems even though someone lives in the living room. We still share the TV, I still rest on the sofa. We still share this common area. So far, it's been good. I hope it stays this way :)

My Room is on the Right

First View
(Built-in Wardrobe, Full Length Mirror)

Left Side - I keep all my coats/jackets and my bags plus recycled materials at the bottom

Right Side - Clothes

Tons of stuffs! It doesnt look like this anymore, but I guess still pretty much the same. Took up lots of space. I keep my notes still (left)

My Desk - Another box of notes under

Bedside - I sleep on the left of the bed. I love the bedside lamp.

Laundry

Toilet.
End of tour. I have to say it's a really lovely apartment with gym facilities, swimming pool, pool table, bbq pit, sauna, etc etc. It's like living in a condo in Singapore. And I live in Tanglin, close to Orchard if I were in Singapore. You can buy this apartment for maybe the price of a 2 or 3 room flat in Singapore!

Semester 2

I have been busy.. with the following..

1. Party-ing
2. Mahjong-ing
3. Monopoly-ing
4. Bak-ing
5. Fish-ing

... the list goes on..

Ever since I moved in and lived with the rest, I have been 'playing' a lot.. The start of the semester were mainly mahjong and monopoly sessions. Then, they started to get busy with schoolwork. Nevertheless, we still found time to entertain each other.

I also have a new bunch of clubbing kakkis.. My junior. Joel from Ngee Ann. He then introduced me to a group of undergrads who lives in the hall. I went on a river cruise, a couple of weeks back. It was AWESOME~! Two thumbs up!

Last week, I had too much to drink. To my very surprised, Darryl looked after me. I know they are young and playful, but I ain't much better these days~

I seriously enjoy the mahjong sessions at home. I've always wanted to master mahjong, like I can play on a decent level and not stuck at beginners. So it was really good practice. Joe loves monopoly and its usually a much quicker game than mahjong, so we do monopoly quite a bit as well.

BAKING! I am so into baking these days.. I want to improve my baking skills, so I have been baking a lot. I mean a lot. Like cookies, blueberry cupcakes, chocolate cupcakes, etc. I even created my very very own lemon icing. Please do not doubt what you are going to see.

Fishing. I use to think fishing is one of the most boring activities in life. But my fishing trips have been fruitful. I like people and I enjoy bonding activities. Since I have to, I join Joe and Raymond sometimes. It made me realize..

Fishing is like a person's life. You need the right set of skills to fish, the right location, the right bait and a bit of luck. There was once, we went to Causeway, but unfortunately, the good spots were being taken. The interesting trip to Claremont Jetty, there were nothing but puffer fish. Both of them caught like 8 or 9 puffer fish, but there's nothing we can do about it. The one time when both of them waited for me at Matilda Bay (UWA is located by the swan river, so..), there was just no bite, completely no nothing. This teaches us a lot. Sometimes we fish at the wrong places, and its through trial and error, we know the type of fishes at the different spots. On top of that, different fishes have preferences. I personally feel that fishes tend to prefer squid, compared to prawn as a bait? There's just way too much factors.. Each time I attempt to, the fish got away. I just dont have fishing skills, I cant judge the pace to draw back each time. You know.. we do get surprises once in a while? We caught a crab, after numerous puffer fishes.. That's just life.

I know I may compromise my grades if I continue to engage myself in such activities.

But you know what? I am HAPPY.

Housemates

I came back with a new housemate, Raymond.

Well, I kinda agreed to come back to Perth earlier to help him. Truth be told, he is one lucky guy.

I not only came back to help him settle down, I also drive him to school at 8 am in the morning then come home to sleep. I also cook for him and help him with other stuffs such as getting a comforter, a heater, student concession and... planning his timetable.

I've always wanted a younger brother.. so.. lucky him!

Raymond's existence in Perth had a little positive impact on me. We get along. I finally met someone whom I feel I can communicate with and trust. A friend. A potential good friend maybe? Each time when we are bored, I would bugg him to play games with me, etc. In fact, we've done so much stupid things.. like creating our very own monopoly? I bought a monopoly from mac donalds for a dollar and we started to write names of places in perth that we think is equivalent to the value on monopoly. He taught me poker and stuffs. It was so much fun to have someone to entertain me. Well, we had to entertain one another because there was only two of us until my other housemates came back.

I can see Joe, my other housemate, likes him too. Recently, they are into this fishing thingy.. Boys will be boys and I guess Joe is happy that its a male housemate than a female one.

I also starting watching a lot of movies, because Raymond has quite a number of them. So when I am bored, I'd just get some from him..

I feel that I lack self discipline. At home, we either spent time cooking, playing mahjong or monopoly. We've got a new set of monopoly, we bought it at a toy sale. Sometimes Raymond and I play cards, Dai Dee, Poker, Black Jack, whatever. Plus the movies that I've just mentioned. I havent been studying much. I really need to start to put in more effort in my studies. Another reason is also because I have one module less, so I kinda have more time. I have so much time in the day, when everyone is having their lessons. So I've been applying for jobs but not much replies. Good Luck to me!

Trip Back Home..

Dear All,

First, I'd like to apologize. I havent been blogging because the internet takes ages to set up.

Oh well, I've not forgotten that I am in Australia.

A summary of my trip back home.

It was terrible. I just felt my parents' lives could have been better. I could have contributed or done a lot more for them. In fact, there was so much emphasis on things at home, that I often got tired as well. I do what I can and I always do my very best. But apparently, my dad seems a little disappointed in me. It's tiring to live up to people's expectations, even at this age. I wished I had spent more time with Amelia. I've got plenty of time, but she's so busy with her work, that I didnt even get to go shopping with her, not even once.

I feel.. I have given my mum quite a lot of emotional support this time round, though I would prefer to be there for my dad. It's harder for him than mum?

I had a fathers' day dinner with my grandfather. After that, he fell sick. His condition was on/off all the time. Unfortunately, he passed away on the day I went back to Perth. I felt really bad for not going home to attend the funeral. I believe I should at least pay respects or go through all the ceremony, even though we are not close. My grandfather doesnt even know who I am. But this particular dinner, he asked my mum who I am. They were happy to tell him I am Bobo. I have no idea why older generation seems to remember Bobo. I guess that gave him a little impression of me, or least, he knew I existed. Then he asked what I am doing. That broke my heart when he passed away. My other grandfather asked the same question before he left. I told my grandfather I am studying and I would graduate next year (2008). He didnt live to watch me graduate. But he's such a strong motivation to my studies. He passed away during my test week. I still miss him lots. I am a lot closer to my mum's side than dad's. Anyway, we gotta move on. I called back a couple of times.. My heart sank, all the way to the bottom each time I hear my dad's voice. I was very much crying in me. I cannot stand seeing, hearing, feeling how my loved ones are feeling. Worse of all, I am not even there for my dad, which I would really really want to. Let's hope things get better at home.

I really enjoyed watching tv with Amelia and Marvin. It just a feeling of belonging back home?

I didnt get to see a lot of people whom I want to. Everyone's busy. Next time maybe?

Primary School Best Friend

Introducing my primary school best friend.. Jasmine Ang. She is not only my primary school best friend, she is one of the few girlfriends that i have. Oops?

When I was looking at the pictures taken from her iphone, I thought it looked good because it looks like 'us'. You know how some pictures dont look like you, but I feel these pictures look like me. When she uploaded and sent it to me, I got very upset after opening the files. Look carefully, look at the expression in my eyes. It was a reflection of my sadness. I can't believe I have to personally spot this. Sigh.

Meeting Up with My Friends

A summary of my recent activities in Singapore..
Met up with Jasmine

Attended Xiaoqi's Birthday Party!

Everyone says I look chubbier than before. SEE? @_@

Tons of retarded pics as usual

Good to see the girls :)

I dont usually enjoy Secondary school gatherings because most of us take very different paths, like the extremes one. Maybe they didnt quite see a need to study so much, if they can still earn quite a bit without very high qualifications, etc. I mean if my friend is planning to have babies, we are at very different stages in our lives. Our perceptions are very very different and sometimes it is frustrating to get them to support my decisions. I have to admit that oxens are very stubborn people, so there's always a lot of clashes. But of course, everyone means well despite the strong arguments and disagreements. So this is one of the more enjoyable gatherings. I was slightly disappointed because Eileen didnt turn up and a few others as well. Eileen has an open mind, she has always been very different in her way of living and her styles. She doesnt follow the norm, like it's alright to drop what I am studying to do something different. I am passionate about a lot of things, but sometimes we hold back. We gotta be realistic, right? That's why I am a little disappointed that she couldnt make it, cause it would be interesting to hear what she have to say..

11 years of friendship. Time flies.

Betty
