Tour My Home - Adelaide Terrace!

I should have done this ages ago..

Anyway, welcome in! First thing you'd see is something like this..

Kitchen on the Right

Wash Basin

Dining Area

Living Room - Joe's territory. He lives there.

Joe's territory.

Still his territory. The amazing thing is.. we never had problems even though someone lives in the living room. We still share the TV, I still rest on the sofa. We still share this common area. So far, it's been good. I hope it stays this way :)

My Room is on the Right

First View
(Built-in Wardrobe, Full Length Mirror)

Left Side - I keep all my coats/jackets and my bags plus recycled materials at the bottom

Right Side - Clothes

Tons of stuffs! It doesnt look like this anymore, but I guess still pretty much the same. Took up lots of space. I keep my notes still (left)

My Desk - Another box of notes under

Bedside - I sleep on the left of the bed. I love the bedside lamp.

Laundry

Toilet.
End of tour. I have to say it's a really lovely apartment with gym facilities, swimming pool, pool table, bbq pit, sauna, etc etc. It's like living in a condo in Singapore. And I live in Tanglin, close to Orchard if I were in Singapore. You can buy this apartment for maybe the price of a 2 or 3 room flat in Singapore!

Semester 2

I have been busy.. with the following..

1. Party-ing
2. Mahjong-ing
3. Monopoly-ing
4. Bak-ing
5. Fish-ing

... the list goes on..

Ever since I moved in and lived with the rest, I have been 'playing' a lot.. The start of the semester were mainly mahjong and monopoly sessions. Then, they started to get busy with schoolwork. Nevertheless, we still found time to entertain each other.

I also have a new bunch of clubbing kakkis.. My junior. Joel from Ngee Ann. He then introduced me to a group of undergrads who lives in the hall. I went on a river cruise, a couple of weeks back. It was AWESOME~! Two thumbs up!

Last week, I had too much to drink. To my very surprised, Darryl looked after me. I know they are young and playful, but I ain't much better these days~

I seriously enjoy the mahjong sessions at home. I've always wanted to master mahjong, like I can play on a decent level and not stuck at beginners. So it was really good practice. Joe loves monopoly and its usually a much quicker game than mahjong, so we do monopoly quite a bit as well.

BAKING! I am so into baking these days.. I want to improve my baking skills, so I have been baking a lot. I mean a lot. Like cookies, blueberry cupcakes, chocolate cupcakes, etc. I even created my very very own lemon icing. Please do not doubt what you are going to see.

Fishing. I use to think fishing is one of the most boring activities in life. But my fishing trips have been fruitful. I like people and I enjoy bonding activities. Since I have to, I join Joe and Raymond sometimes. It made me realize..

Fishing is like a person's life. You need the right set of skills to fish, the right location, the right bait and a bit of luck. There was once, we went to Causeway, but unfortunately, the good spots were being taken. The interesting trip to Claremont Jetty, there were nothing but puffer fish. Both of them caught like 8 or 9 puffer fish, but there's nothing we can do about it. The one time when both of them waited for me at Matilda Bay (UWA is located by the swan river, so..), there was just no bite, completely no nothing. This teaches us a lot. Sometimes we fish at the wrong places, and its through trial and error, we know the type of fishes at the different spots. On top of that, different fishes have preferences. I personally feel that fishes tend to prefer squid, compared to prawn as a bait? There's just way too much factors.. Each time I attempt to, the fish got away. I just dont have fishing skills, I cant judge the pace to draw back each time. You know.. we do get surprises once in a while? We caught a crab, after numerous puffer fishes.. That's just life.

I know I may compromise my grades if I continue to engage myself in such activities.

But you know what? I am HAPPY.

Housemates

I came back with a new housemate, Raymond.

Well, I kinda agreed to come back to Perth earlier to help him. Truth be told, he is one lucky guy.

I not only came back to help him settle down, I also drive him to school at 8 am in the morning then come home to sleep. I also cook for him and help him with other stuffs such as getting a comforter, a heater, student concession and... planning his timetable.

I've always wanted a younger brother.. so.. lucky him!

Raymond's existence in Perth had a little positive impact on me. We get along. I finally met someone whom I feel I can communicate with and trust. A friend. A potential good friend maybe? Each time when we are bored, I would bugg him to play games with me, etc. In fact, we've done so much stupid things.. like creating our very own monopoly? I bought a monopoly from mac donalds for a dollar and we started to write names of places in perth that we think is equivalent to the value on monopoly. He taught me poker and stuffs. It was so much fun to have someone to entertain me. Well, we had to entertain one another because there was only two of us until my other housemates came back.

I can see Joe, my other housemate, likes him too. Recently, they are into this fishing thingy.. Boys will be boys and I guess Joe is happy that its a male housemate than a female one.

I also starting watching a lot of movies, because Raymond has quite a number of them. So when I am bored, I'd just get some from him..

I feel that I lack self discipline. At home, we either spent time cooking, playing mahjong or monopoly. We've got a new set of monopoly, we bought it at a toy sale. Sometimes Raymond and I play cards, Dai Dee, Poker, Black Jack, whatever. Plus the movies that I've just mentioned. I havent been studying much. I really need to start to put in more effort in my studies. Another reason is also because I have one module less, so I kinda have more time. I have so much time in the day, when everyone is having their lessons. So I've been applying for jobs but not much replies. Good Luck to me!

Trip Back Home..

Dear All,

First, I'd like to apologize. I havent been blogging because the internet takes ages to set up.

Oh well, I've not forgotten that I am in Australia.

A summary of my trip back home.

It was terrible. I just felt my parents' lives could have been better. I could have contributed or done a lot more for them. In fact, there was so much emphasis on things at home, that I often got tired as well. I do what I can and I always do my very best. But apparently, my dad seems a little disappointed in me. It's tiring to live up to people's expectations, even at this age. I wished I had spent more time with Amelia. I've got plenty of time, but she's so busy with her work, that I didnt even get to go shopping with her, not even once.

I feel.. I have given my mum quite a lot of emotional support this time round, though I would prefer to be there for my dad. It's harder for him than mum?

I had a fathers' day dinner with my grandfather. After that, he fell sick. His condition was on/off all the time. Unfortunately, he passed away on the day I went back to Perth. I felt really bad for not going home to attend the funeral. I believe I should at least pay respects or go through all the ceremony, even though we are not close. My grandfather doesnt even know who I am. But this particular dinner, he asked my mum who I am. They were happy to tell him I am Bobo. I have no idea why older generation seems to remember Bobo. I guess that gave him a little impression of me, or least, he knew I existed. Then he asked what I am doing. That broke my heart when he passed away. My other grandfather asked the same question before he left. I told my grandfather I am studying and I would graduate next year (2008). He didnt live to watch me graduate. But he's such a strong motivation to my studies. He passed away during my test week. I still miss him lots. I am a lot closer to my mum's side than dad's. Anyway, we gotta move on. I called back a couple of times.. My heart sank, all the way to the bottom each time I hear my dad's voice. I was very much crying in me. I cannot stand seeing, hearing, feeling how my loved ones are feeling. Worse of all, I am not even there for my dad, which I would really really want to. Let's hope things get better at home.

I really enjoyed watching tv with Amelia and Marvin. It just a feeling of belonging back home?

I didnt get to see a lot of people whom I want to. Everyone's busy. Next time maybe?

Primary School Best Friend

Introducing my primary school best friend.. Jasmine Ang. She is not only my primary school best friend, she is one of the few girlfriends that i have. Oops?

When I was looking at the pictures taken from her iphone, I thought it looked good because it looks like 'us'. You know how some pictures dont look like you, but I feel these pictures look like me. When she uploaded and sent it to me, I got very upset after opening the files. Look carefully, look at the expression in my eyes. It was a reflection of my sadness. I can't believe I have to personally spot this. Sigh.

Meeting Up with My Friends

A summary of my recent activities in Singapore..
Met up with Jasmine

Attended Xiaoqi's Birthday Party!

Everyone says I look chubbier than before. SEE? @_@

Tons of retarded pics as usual

Good to see the girls :)

I dont usually enjoy Secondary school gatherings because most of us take very different paths, like the extremes one. Maybe they didnt quite see a need to study so much, if they can still earn quite a bit without very high qualifications, etc. I mean if my friend is planning to have babies, we are at very different stages in our lives. Our perceptions are very very different and sometimes it is frustrating to get them to support my decisions. I have to admit that oxens are very stubborn people, so there's always a lot of clashes. But of course, everyone means well despite the strong arguments and disagreements. So this is one of the more enjoyable gatherings. I was slightly disappointed because Eileen didnt turn up and a few others as well. Eileen has an open mind, she has always been very different in her way of living and her styles. She doesnt follow the norm, like it's alright to drop what I am studying to do something different. I am passionate about a lot of things, but sometimes we hold back. We gotta be realistic, right? That's why I am a little disappointed that she couldnt make it, cause it would be interesting to hear what she have to say..

11 years of friendship. Time flies.

Lil' Bell

so cutee.. don't think I am even 1 year old with that pacifier.. tuutututututu

No idea where this is taken, there's a waterfall at the back?

No 2.

Kids will behave like kids.

I use to drink with a spoon. Maybe the cup was too heavy, or maybe I just like to drink with the spoon. hehe.

Kindergarten Bell

I can explain why I enjoy partying. It probably started when I was in Kindergarten where the teacher would select me for dance performances. I get it all the time, but I have no idea why? I wonder what the other kids were doing when we had to practice dancing..

I remember this dance, because I like the fluffy fans. lol.
Not so sure what this dance is all about?

This is hilarious. We had to pretend to pluck flowers or berries or something.

The outfit explains all, isnt it? Bleah.

Yup, was from Fairfield.

Graduation!

Hoorayyy!

Sometimes I wonder, what is graduation all about? It's definitely more than getting a piece of paper. A lot of people place so much importance, but seriously what does graduation means to you? I am going to miss mine in September this year because I'd be in Perth. I'd get someone to collect my certificate.

Kindergarten days. I was a troublesome kid, I love to sleep and my parents had to wake me up again and again. Hmm.. Actually, I still laze around every morning and refuse to wake up.. at this age. hehe. Mummy would shower for me, then she would tie my hair and I get to choose what earrings and shoes I want to wear to school. I am late for school every day? Because of my parents work timings, it was a little too rush and too troublesome to make it on time for school. Anyway, they sing all the christian songs in the morning, so it was alright for me to skip.

After school, my uncle or aunty will fetch us to our granny's place. Then one of my aunties will shower for us, one will bring us to get food, one will teach us how to read and write, etc etc. I have a lot of aunties, so they sort of have like different roles. We were the first few grandchildren, my mum's side.. so quite a lot of privilleges. The rest of the day, we'd just play all the old school games which I love..

My grandparents sell vegetables, so there's always the vegetable worms. We would catch them to feed the rooster. Old school right? Now, I will not catch any sort of worms. It's disgusting. We do tons of silly stuffs when we're young, don't we? I love hide-and-seek. Somehow I'd win. hehe. I like the hiding part, and the boo-ing part. You just have to react faster when the person catches you and you win! We play in those old houses in Chinatown, the really old ones during world war II, so we would run around the area and there's so many places to hide. >.<

My Family

Everything is pretty much the same at home. Nagging mum, problematic sister, shopaholic beauty queen sister and even my irritating brother.. haha. except just one. My dad. I started to notice the change in his lifestyle, like the eating habits.. and since when he needs to start taking medication? I love my dad very very much, so I am very concern. Last night, I was just sitting in the living room, waiting for him to open his second can of beer. GOTCHA! Caught red-handed.. I think he needs to cut down on that. I understand how frustrating and difficult life can be sometimes, but beer is no solution. My dad drinks when he's very happy or he has a whole lot kept inside him. The regular Monday drinking sessions are the happy ones, usually. I used to drive him to and fro his drinking sessions. It's only been a few months, and I am noticing some changes. I am going to make some changes, whatever it may be. He needs to drink less.

The more time I spent with my parents, both of them.. The more I feel the need and responsibility to look after them. Mum whines a lot, I guess that explains why I whine a lot too! She would go on and on about different problems. We went to the temple yesterday and I saw her praying to this god that looks after people's relationship. I mean, how can my mum be praying for relationship right? It's obvious it's for my siblings.. She was just telling me it's time they get married bla bla bla bla bla..

I need to prepare some documents for court, because my dad needs to claim bad debts or something, in short, to get his money back..
See? How can I not come home to look after them?

Mingyi said it's alright to just come home when they need you. That's being responsible too. But I feel we should be there for our parents at all times, not just when they need us.

Guys do think differently. It's like usually the guys are the ones that want to apply for PR in Australia, whereas the girls might prefer to go home.. It's very different attitudes. Does this explain why people nowadays prefer to have daughters than sons? Hmm..

So much thoughts.

To be continued..

First Few Days in Singapore..

I AM HOME!

It feels a little weird though.. I clearly know the differences between living in Perth and in Singapore. I just needed to kind of figure out what I really want in life, where I belong to and where I want to fit in. It's all about choices. My life no longer stays in this little dot on the map. I am plotting my life on this very interesting graph.

I met Weiliang yesterday. COOL, love him. He foresees many things about me. So meeting him first was totally interesting. He sees my point and what I am talking about. I have a lot of respect for him. I respect him as much as my dad, which is very rare. He tells me I am viewing things as a student and I am missing out a lot from the perspectives of someone working outside. I have to agree. But what he was trying to say to me was.. Good start that you've stepped out of Singapore. Think about it. Since you are already out of your comfort zone, stay outside for a couple more years. You will have no problems adapting in foreign lands and there is so much to learn. Don't expect too much though, in terms of remuneration. It's just a starting point.

This leads me to thinking what have been happening to my friends. Working in Singapore is crazy. All my friends are forever working overtime. So much so to the extend that Yuan doesnt even like want to talk to me. He's depressed and he cant even find that few minutes to text me back?! Today I received a call from Joyz, just whining about how she is being bullied at work, bla bla.. We can't avoid such office politics, I know it's common. I also know Singapore is not a good location to work in. Anyway, I have another year to think about this..

It's like my SECOND OFFICIAL DAY home.. and my shoulders are getting heavy. I met Kong last night and he was talking to me about his career plans.. I feel a little overwhelmed by the amount of problems I have on my shoulders now. I WANT TO BE THERE FOR ALL MY FRIENDS. I am prepared to come home to be here for everyone. That's a huge difference compared to Perth. All I ever needed was to take care of myself only. But no worries, just call if you need me.

There are many issues I seriously need to think about, at this point in my life. I am 24 this year, I should be heading somewhere in my career or start planning for a family, etc.. But I chose to be flexible and took the route to study when Dr Trish Todd offered me Masters. I know I will lose out to most of my friends in many aspects, because I am slower, even though I will be more qualified. LIFE IS ALL ABOUT CHOICES, isnt it?

And Bell is never someone to follow the norm, I just want to answer to myself and when I look back 20, 30 years down the road, I can answer to myself if taking this route is worth it. Anyway, life is ever changing, just enjoy whatever comes along the way?

I've shopped a little too much these days.. getting all the stuffs I might need when I go back to Perth. Yesterday I bought 2 pairs of shoes and a lovely dress.. That's not the end of the list though.. haha..

Look at the passenger seat, that was first half of shopping yesterday

Today, I did something. I wrapped one kilograms of nougats. haha! I cant get everyone a gift specifically because I have too much people to meet, unless you specifically ask me to get you something. But everyone just tells me to come home safely. I did :)

Darren, your bottle of sand is soooooooooooooooooooooo much work. You outta thank Thomas for the drive to Cottesloe beach at night, then I had to bake them in the oven because the sand was a little wet, so moist. Then I had to pack them nicely, then then I had to go round looking for the bottles and here is your final product.

Can someone please remind me if you ever think that Bell is becoming more selfish? I am a little worried. I am afraid staying in Perth.. where everyone mostly cares about themselves.. I don't want to become like that. I am still happy to go the extra mile for my friends and do the little things I enjoy :) Thanks!

GO GO GO GO Take the Test!

Exams are FINALLY OVER!!

I was busy packing my stuffs, until I gave up. I hate it, it's so troublesome! :(

Anyway, something fun~! I created a quiz on facebook, which I think even my sister and brother will fail the test.. Darren said it's tough. It is, I doubt even my ex boyfriend will get it right too! This will prove who has been listening to me, the one that really listens to my nonsense! Good Luck!
Let me show you 2 responses so far..

I am going home next monday. A few people have offered to pick me up, like Yuan, Braduh Stanz and to my surprise, Carlie. I am very appreciative and it's just nice to know people are looking forward to you going home.

I want to mention a few things.
When I was taking Damian's test, I realized the pictures he had chosen for the facebook test.. 3 out of 5 pictures were taken with me. It's so nice, and he tells me he just wants me to be home safely. Xiaoqi has emphasized that I must attend her birthday paartyy! Yeah! Mingyi is another one whom I feel is very sincere and looking forward to my going home.

I LOVE EVERYONE! *hugs* *hugs*

Exams, Exams & Exams..

Examinations.

I am blogging just because I want to whine about it. haha. Exams are so tiring, especially when my papers are so close together. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday. I just want to get done with it. I've been having packed food since last Saturday, 5 days of take aways, 5 days of sleeping late, 5 days of insufficient sleep, 5 day of brain power, I am tired. I feel drained and it's only normal to. It should get a little better after tomorrow's paper because I will have a few days to study for next week's paper.

I was quite happy after my Marketing Comm paper today. Different people have different talents and I am just bad with figures. Look at my past transcripts, I screw up every module that has got to deal with figures, statistics, accounting, finance. I just cant handle it. Prof Mizerski was so 'nice'. When I received the question paper, I was like.. NICE.. 8 pages of statistics! I guess at post graduate level, we are expected to analyze all these data. Then from the data, we make decisions, like how we choose our target audiences, how much are they consuming, the right medium to reach them, etc etc. There's just tons of statistics! So even if I am not going to do well for this paper, I am proud of myself with my attempt to digest everything and just do my best.

Great Job Bell! :)

Client Management. God bless me, tomorrow.

Ethics for next week. Dead. I am so dying. The revision lecture was 'useful', Professors mentioned that we are not allowed to copy the question, no marks given. You are not allowed to use pencil. You have to write legibly, if not, no marks given. He's not marking. Mentioning the theories doesnt mean you get it right. It's one of the irritating professors that wants you to have a very good understanding of the whole module, like all 12 lectures, integrate them as a whole to answer all the questions. It's one of those you can't smoke through with common sense. It doesnt work this way. After the lecture, everyone looked at each other like.. @_@ to @_@. In the first place, nobody have a good understanding of the module. On the feedback form, I wrote the following:
  • 1st. If their objective was to get us to review our ethical behaviour and issues, it's probably too late. I feel that my upbringing plays a part. My values are not shaped by the textbook. So it's stupid.
  • 2nd. Most post graduate students have working experiences. The ethical issues they faced at work would be more valuable than the lesson.
  • 3rd. This lead us to thinking this module is completely irrelevant because it is not practical. Whatever learnt cannot be applied?
  • 4th. This module emphasized too much on personal values, heuristics. Hello? Hello? If the module emphasized more on 'business' issues, I think it would be more useful.
  • 5th. The workshops sucks, big time! I feel like I am attending a Kindergarten lesson, from the way it is conducted.
  • 6th. At the end of the last lecture, I have absolutely no idea what is going on. I've never really skip, except a few workshops. Most people have no idea what the Professor was teaching.
  • 7th. They should work on the materials used. Most people dont understand the textbook and I am not exception. The slides should be simplified. There should be less information. What's the point of having so much slides, when you cant teach everything?

Thus, I conclude, this module is a complete waste of money and time! I hope I pass. PLEASE. The professors are failing people. The reason being.. students have poor understanding of the subject. And I think the problem lies with the structure of the whole module and the professors! I am so enjoying my Marketing modules for this semester.

We whine how heavy client management is, we felt that we could have scored better for Marketing Comms, but at the end of the day, I know that most people enjoyed the lessons. Ethics is just..

For once, I am feeling like Jasmine. This post sounds so much like Jasmine. There's so much similarity to her blog. haha.

11 days to going home..

A Different Approach to My Life..

This post might be slightly different, so be prepared. :)

I remember all my past conversations with Irving. We'd always agree I still have a long way to go.. I knew that I needed to be more 'balanced' in my life, to be more 'stable' in handling all issues.

I feel that I am getting closer to this stage, where I am more mature and capable of the challenges in my life.

I am not sure if it was because of the pace in Perth, my experience here or it just comes naturally as you get older.

I stopped panicking over the small issues, like examinations or shifting house. In life, there's always a solution to our problems. It just depends on which approach you choose to take.

I had my first paper yesterday. 25 chapters of Global Marketing, but I only did 5 chapters and went into the exam hall. Tomorrow I have another paper and I have no idea how to calculate CPM. I dont even know what is CPM, but I am not panicking or overly stressed over it. I just came back from supper. Ken was like, YOU HAVE EXAMS TOMORROW AND YOU CAME OUT FOR SUPPER?! Yeah, I mean, I feel everything is so packed, I could hardly breathe. So what's wrong with going out for a meal?

I am always VERY HARD ON MYSELF. When things happen, I get upset. My whole family is like that. My mum constantly blames herself for whatever's happened to her children. Amelia works like there's no tomorrow and she never has enough sleep.

Now, I just want to be realistic. I would like to aim high, but I think we cannot aim high in all aspects. We gain some, we lose some. I like to have a balance of things in my life. I need to be aware of what I want to achieve, utimately, throughout my stay in Perth. Being realistic means I might not have distinctions this semester. I believe in studying every single thing, mutiple textbooks, all lecture materials, etc. In short, I was a hard working student. I spent the whole semester playing catch-up, till a point in time, I just gave up because it was almost impossible to. Post graduate is just heavy, or maybe it's just my marketing modules. So this time round, I took a completely different approach. I can even be packing my baggage, preparing to move into my new house when I should be studying very hard for the papers.

I find that a lot of approaches I used in the past did not work? I guess so? And it's good to have a goal and aim high, but sometimes you just cant achieve that much when you want the best of everything?

Han was telling me how he became more confident as he got older and stuffs. I can picture Bell at the end of my stay in Perth. I have friends, I have people who care. But when you are overseas, you are on your own. Let's face it. Every experience, every emotions, every single thought of mine is unique and it aids in my growing up and learning process. I hope all these will shape Bell into what everyone wants to see. I did not forget my purpose of coming here. And I will not disappoint those back home.

12 days to going home..

A Letter..

I am supposed to be studying for my paper on Wednesday, but.. I received some news from a friend. He might be going back next week.. So I took time to write him this.. I know my priorities, but I also think, this friend is worth one hour of my time to write this letter.

Letters are very personal, but I wanted to share what I've written. I was impressed with how well I've written, how I expressed my feelings and thoughts in Chinese. Another reason why this letter is so well written because every single word came from my heart..

I wanted to dedicate a single post to this friend, but I was not able to find time. So let me just show you this..

If I were to receive this, I think I'd cry. The words I used were quite 'strong' to have an impact and I made the effort to list out all the good qualities of this person. Sweettt!

I wanted to do a bit more, like hand made a little gift? It depends on how much time I have left and depends on when he goes back.

But I am so glad to have met Andrew.

Cheers! :)

Mandarin Ducks

I am not sure how many of you actually know what happened to my mandarin ducks, the fate of the pair. But I am sure most of you know I own a pair of mandarin ducks.

It was love at first sight, I couldnt stop thinking about it, that I went back to the store and bought it home.

It's probably unusual to buy it for yourself. It is usually given as a gift. I bought it because I believe I am the master of my own fate and I bought it to give myself some hope.

Both ducks fell off, at different times.. With my stubborn personality, I would fix it back and I did. But on one of the ducks, there was a crack. It's still in tact, but there's just a crack, you can see the line. That's not me. That represents Zhiwen. When the first duck fell off, maybe it was because Zhiwen had a girlfriend, but when the second duck fell off, I knew it was because of the way the staff handled my baggage.. so the ducks probably suffered some injuries before it reaches Perth.

I still display it, for many reasons..

About 15 minutes ago, I kept it in the red traditional box which comes with it.

I dont know why, I pass by them every single day, but something struck me, at that instant, that I decided to stop displaying it.

I was talking to Raymond online, he knew about my ducks. I told him I have such BAD LUCK IN RELATIONSHIPS. I do. He's not the only one to agree, so many people have to agree with me. I waited 6 years for Qingrong, then I met Weiqi and spent another year or so.. And another year plus for Joseph, before I was stuck with Zhiwen for 2 years. I still call him dumb because all along I've been protecting him. I dont think anyone actually remembers his name. This way, nobody can tarnish his reputation whatsoever. Now, I am just happy we're friends.

I know its a little depressing having to mention this myself. But hey, let's face it. Bell has BAD LUCK IN RELATIONSHIPS.

I am not saying this because of a particular incident that happened lately. But I've lost hope in this aspect of my life. I've waited 10 years for the one, the one, my one? I am blessed, I have many good friends whom I can rely on though..

OK, back to reality..

I am alright, I merely wanted to express how I feel..

And I'd get back to my life without the one.

For your information, UWA has a lot of mandarin ducks. They swim in pairs.. Similar to the peacocks, they are permanent residents of UWA :)

Good Night.

Fate brought us together?

Oh My God! omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg OMFG~!

Sorry, but I am so excited! I want to share something really fun! it's so exciting and interesting! hehe.

Last year, I started receiving emails from a group of UWA girls. Because the emails are school emails, I know it's not spam or junk mail. One of the girls added me by accident, because of the similarity in the emails. So I am "Kate Minesora", least on their list and the thread, I am Kate? hehe.

I wrote back last year to tell them that they have been emailing the wrong person, because I am not Kate. So the girls said they'd remove my email and stuffs.

Recently, I started to receive emails from this group of girls again. ISN'T IT AMAZING?! How I was involved, reading their emails about their life and their gatherings? I even have their phone number since they arrange to meet up for dinners and stuffs?

TODAY, I WROTE BACK because it's simply amazing how everything happened and now I became a student of UWA myself and I am residing in Perth! so fun!

This is so fun and interesting!! isnt it? hehehehehehe.... :P What happens if I drop by someday? hahahhahhaha.. hehehe

Going Home..

It's such a weird feeling that I have... to going home..

I should be looking forward, but something is holding me back, which I cant explain exactly?

The best explanation I can find for myself is..

I am someone who adapts very quickly to a new environment, I have no problems getting around and making friends. Maybe I have sort of, found my 'identity' in Perth. So now that I am going home to 'fit' into my 'old identity' in Singapore, it just feels weird. Then again, I will have no problems since I adapt quickly? It's like a transition period?

Another possible reason could be because I havent been home for a long time, so I get this strange feeling. When I was in Tokyo, it's more of having fun than studies, seriously. So now that I am really LIVING in Perth, it's just different.

I am looking forward because I miss so many people.

My Dad. The one who gives me enormous support and strength in my life, who is also the one who protects me and dotes on me, all at the same time. My dad would be heart broken, but at the same time very proud of me, to see me grow. My dad was such a strong motivating factor in my life.

I miss Mummy's cooking! I miss her nagging sometimes, just having her around, even though she can be quite annoying. Trust me, they meant well. My mum fought so much in her life to protect all of us. She gave her everything, her all, her time and effort, her love to all of us. Nobody would be as concern about me as my mum.

I actually miss my sisters and brother's terrible behaviour! Making lots of noises, watching a lot of tv, talking on the phone loudly, stepping into the house with shoes on, etc..

I miss Yuan, I really do. If I ever had a best friend, he would be? It's so comfortable to hang out with him, it's like I am always in this comfort zone, whenever he's around. I miss his silly behaviours and stupid reactions, sometimes. haha.

I miss my university friends, Xiaoqi, Jessica, Shiling, Adrielle & Shaowei.
I miss my BIAB team members! I just cant wait to throw darren away! haha.
I miss my primary school friends, which I am trying to organize a gathering or something, though Andy and Benjamin won't be around.. but least I'd get to see Ping Ling :)

The list goes on..

And of course I miss you! Jasmine :)

You were always there for me.. Each time I receive a mail from you, it reminds me of the times you'd write me letters after we went to different schools. She'd write stuffs like 'Do you have a boyfriend?'.. wow.. 10 years back! Now, she writes me little words of encouragement. Thank you darling :)

19 days to going home..

Updates..

Just want to mention a few..

  1. I've been accepted into Masters of Marketing! I also applied for advanced standing, which I am waiting for the business school to approve.. It'd take a while.. you know, 'A WHILE', it's Aussie style..
  2. I am moving into the CITY! It's a lovely apartment! :) That probably means more partying and more shopping. heh.
  3. I just confirmed my flight today, I am going home! 08 June!

It's quite funny how I whine and complain about stuffs in Aussie, but I wouldnt mind staying a little longer in Perth. I am not in love with this place, but I am beginning to enjoy the pace. Instead of rushing home, I'd like to spend a few days in Perth, just doing nothing. Like take time off to clear my thoughts, do a little reflection and present to all of you, a slightly different Bell I hope. Considering the amount of shit I've been through here, I hope I have become more mature and stronger. I hope I'd never lose the optimism I had when I was a kid. I hope lovely Jasmine wont tell me how my posts sound a little pessimistic. I hope I go home with happy emotions and a lot to share.. A LOT.. hahaha..

Love all.

7th May Cultural Fair

Despite my busy schedule, I made time for the cultural fair, with the help of Shirlene and Mark. Oh well, they just accompanied me for a few hours at our pathetic booth till someone takes over!! I even had to call Shirlene to borrow some books from the library, so the Singapore booth doesnt look so empty. I guess it was happening, but not at our booth though.. >.<

Trying to get additional chairs..

3 of us, stoning at the booth

I wonder who took this picture! I love it! This person managed to capture Bell's expression. It resembles the pictures I took when I was a kid. A good heartily smile or a big laugh (",)
